The Art of Sgraffito with Cabin Fever Clay Works
$115 + HST
Join us for a creative morning at Bélisle Pottery with ceramic artist Natalee Nelson of @cabinfeverclayworks. In this 2.5-hour workshop, you’ll explore surface illustration on clay using traditional sgraffito and mishima techniques.
Each participant will work on a pre-thrown form (such as a cup or tile) and learn how to carve, layer, and decorate using underglazes, wax resist, and simple tools.
Whether you love storytelling, pattern work, or just want to try something new, this workshop is a chance to slow down and draw directly onto clay with intention and guidance.
What’s included:
• Live demo and hands-on instruction from Natalee
• One wheel-thrown form to decorate
• Use of carving tools, underglazes, and wax resist
• One finished, glazed, and kiln-fired piece
• All materials provided
No prior experience required. All skill levels welcome.
