1. When can I pick up my pottery?

Pieces are typically ready about 30 days after your workshop or firing. We do not send pickup emails. Please book your pickup online 30 days after your workshop.

2. My confirmation link shows no available dates. What do I do?

This usually means the workshop is private or fully booked. Email us with the date you’re hoping for and we’ll help you find a solution.

3. Can I host a private workshop?

Yes. Private workshops can be booked any day depending on availability. We can host up to 10 people on the wheel or up to 16 for a combined handbuilding and wheel experience.

4. How many pieces can I keep from a public wheel throwing workshop?

You can keep two finished pieces. Glazing and firing are included.

5. What if I want to make something specific or more advanced?

We’re happy to help you explore ideas, but some forms require more experience. Let us know what you’re hoping to make before your workshop so we can guide you appropriately.

6. How does kiln rental work?

All pieces must be clearly labeled with your name or stamp, measured using the cardboard shelf template, and placed on cookies if glazes may run. You must log how many shelves you are dropping off. We ask that only cone 6 clay and glaze be used.

7. How long does firing take? (Members and kiln rentals)

Firing takes a minimum of 24 hours once the kiln starts, but unload times vary. Please allow up to one full week to be safe.

8. Do you offer memberships?

Yes. Members must complete our 8 week program or have equivalent experience. If you are coming from another studio, we ask that you complete a few shadowing sessions to ensure our methods and standards align.

9. What if I need help redeeming a gift card?

Gift cards can be used for any workshop. Email hello@belislepottery.ca and we’ll help you book or find a date that works.

10. Where is the studio located?

We’re located behind the big red doors at the corner of Field Road and Four Mile Creek Road in Virgil, inside an old school building. The doors are always locked unless you have an appointment.
